Meet The Teacher
Please allow me to introduce myself…
Dezz Asante
My name is Dezz Asante. I started my musical journey at the tender age of 6 when I discovered my Aunt’s upright piano. I would spend hours trying to learn songs by ear (no YouTube back then). When my mother realized that it was much more than a phase she bought a piano for the house. That was an exciting day!
As I grew older I discovered the drum set and was instantly hooked! I quickly learned that most local bands had a hard time finding a good drummer and began to play with every band I could. At age 15 I realized that I could explore songwriting much easier if I learned to play the guitar so… I did!

Watching Dezz with students, one 9 and one 11…he gives complete lessons at their level, that I watch them enjoy, learn and then apply, right before my eyes! The kids don’t even realize these are actually complex combinations that Dezz is teaching them, because he comes across with ease, poise, knowledge and fun…right at their level!! They don’t even know their in a Class!! AND they’re Playing!!!
